For over three years I was a photographer for College Avenue’s annual Best of CSU magazine located in Fort Collins, CO. This has allowed me to expand my food and product photography skills at over 50 businesses in Northern Colorado.
Photojournalism
As The Rocky Mountain Collegian Photo Director between May 2018 - May 2019, I oversaw and directed operations for The Collegian’s Photo Desk. I managed up to 20 photographers and held weekly meetings to uphold standards, provide feedback, and facilitate learning and creativity.
Portraits
While conventional wisdom says people are either photogenic or not at all… the truth is this: there’s a captivating portrait inside everyone and all you have to do is peel back the layers. Everyone has their own story and portrait photography has allowed me to not just listen and learn from others, but to get out of my comfort zone and capture true authenticity.
Environmental
I don’t go anywhere without the company of my camera. From landscapes to wild animals to self-staggering moments captured in time, there’s no better feeling in the world than being able to capture a once in a lifetime scene.
Concerts
Throughout my time as a photographer with The Rocky Mountain Collegian, I have applied and received press passes for over 60 artists performing in Colorado at venues and music festivals. My interest in concert photography grew initially when starting school at CSU, and has since allowed me to capture photographs of some of the largest artists in today’s media.
